I hope someone can point me in a direction to help diagnose this.
Sadly, I haven’t been upkeeping my website, so WordPress and all plugins and themes were outdated.
Before the upgrade, I noticed a weird “de” in the top left corner of the page, which you can see here:
https://bureaudisco.com/
This “de” also appears on other websites mapped with Multisite.
And – it gets weird – this “de” appears in the dashboard, in the same spot. (For a moment today, it appeared in the Dashboard’s “WordPress Events and News” widget, but is now stuck in the top left, like you see on the front end.)
So, I upgraded WordPress (from an old 4.something or 5.something to 6.9.4.)
The “de” still appears.
I have deactivated all plugins, and even the drop-ins Sunrise.php and Maintenance.php.
I tried renaming the plugins folder.
I have deactivated all themes, both the network activated and the site-specific activated.
And when I renamed the themes folder, the front-end error message that said “your themes folder doesn’t exist” ALSO had the “de”.
And even more weird:
I cannot upgrade plugins or themes in the dashboard.
The error message is:
Update failed: de{"success":true,"data":{"update":"plugin","slug":"wordpress-importer","oldVersion":"Version 0.8.4","newVersion":"Version 0.9.5","plugin":"wordpress-importer\/wordpress-importer.php","pluginName":"WordPress Importer"}}This is the error message when I turn on WP_DEBUG = true;
Update failed: de{"success":true,"data":{"update":"plugin","slug":"mailpoet","oldVersion":"Version 5.16.0","newVersion":"Version 5.22.1","plugin":"mailpoet\/mailpoet.php","pluginName":"MailPoet","debug":["Enabling Maintenance mode…","Downloading update from https:\/\/downloads.wordpress.org\/plugin\/mailpoet.5.22.1.zip…","Unpacking the update…","Installing the latest version…","Removing the old version of the plugin…","Plugin updated successfully.","Disabling Maintenance mode…"]}}
Other than the longer error message, nothing shows up with WP_DEBUG.
Puede ver que «de» también está en el mensaje de error. (El texto en negrita es mío).
Es casi como si hubiera algo correcto en el código fuente de WordPress.
¿Alguien tiene una idea de dónde puedo buscar?
Estoy corriendo:
PHP 8.2
MySQL 8.4.8-cll-lve
